M.J. Blakely is again proudly serving as Pope McGlamry’s agent for the University of Georgia Law Firm and Corporation Alumni Giving Challenge. The Challenge seeks to increase participation in annual giving and overall private financial support by offering alumni and their firms a fun and competitive way to show their support for the University of Georgia’s School of Law and its students. The challenge is for each firm or corporation to achieve 100% participation in giving from its University of Georgia alumni.
M.J. specializes in handling catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, mass torts, class actions and other complex litigation for Pope McGlamry. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006. While in law school, M.J. was a member of the Mock Trial Board and Mock Trial Team and received the Weinberg, Wheeler, Huggins, Gunn and Dial Award for Outstanding Mock Trial Advocate. He also served as the Vice President of the Black Law Student’s Association and a Dean’s Ambassador during his time in Athens.
Pope McGlamry proudly supports the Law School and the Law School Fund’s mission to support student scholarships, student groups and faculty projects.
