December 2019- Another successful Wishing Tree!
Our annual Wishing Tree event was a success! This year, we were able to provide gifts to dozens of children and mothers at International Women's House! A huge thank you to everyone that was able to donate this year! We were able to gift all the children and their mothers this year!
International Women’s House is a domestic violence shelter with a mission to provide a safe haven and supportive services to women and children who are the victims of family violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking, with a focus on immigrant and refugee women and children, cultural sensitivity and self-sufficiency.

This weekend, we had the honor of being a sponsor of GABWA's annual Gala! Attorneys M.J. Blakely, Trip Tomlinson, and Liz White attended the event and had a great time supporting an amazing organization. Congratulations on an incredible event this year, GABWA!
GABWA has an active membership of women and men who strive each day to fulfill the organization’s mission: to nurture, support and galvanize the power of Black women attorneys; advocate for women and children and empower our communities. GABWA has members throughout the state with regional chapters in Albany, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, and Savannah.

We had the honor of sponsoring MYSO Atlanta's Spring Concert this past weekend. Kim Johnson, an attorney and shareholder at Pope McGlamry, was proud to present the organization with a check to help provide students with an opportunity to continue their musical education.
MYSO Atlanta is a community-based youth orchestra driven to provide young students with an opportunity to accelerate their music education in a full orchestra setting. MYSO students regularly engage directly with local professional musicians to prepare and perform at least three annual public concerts. Now in its 29th season, MYSO is a fundamental part of the youth music development community in the city of Atlanta.

July 2018 - Caroline McGlamry volunteered at the Pajama Program's Reading Party
Pajama Program's Atlanta Chapter allows children to gain access to books and safety through their Reading Party program. Caroline, along with other lawyers from the area, were able to read and talk to local children this morning. Pajama Party donates new pajamas and books to children in need and allows them to use their imagination and creativity to help them change their lives. May 2017 - Third Annual Teed Up for Torts Golf Tournament Hosted by Pope McGlamry
Pope McGlamry’s third annual “Teed Up for Torts” golf tournament was held at Bear’s Best golf club in Suwanee on May 1st. The tournament was held to benefit the International Women’s House. More info.
March 2017 - Congratulations to the Grady High School mock trial team.
Congratulations to the Henry W. Grady High School Mock Trial team, who finished 3rd at the 2017 High School Mock Trial Nationals this past weekend in Hartford, CT. The team went undefeated the entire season, through Georgia’s Regional, District and State rounds, as well as at Nationals, missing the Championship round by 1 ballot. More info.

They won their region on Jan 31 and won District III on Feb 19. They are one of the 8 teams headed to State at the Gwinnett Justice Center in Lawrenceville. Kudos to their coach Caroline McGlamry.

March 2017 - Grady Mock Trial won the Georgia High School Mock Trial State Competition on Saturday.
They now advance to the National High School Mock Trial Competition, which will be held May 10-14, 2017 in Hartford, CT. More info.
